PRMH To Host First Annual Faces of Hope Luncheon

On October 13, we will host our first Faces of Hope Luncheon, sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania and the Hilton Inn at Penn. This new fundraiser is designed to bring in new supporters to PRMH.

The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House announces our 1st Annual Faces of Hope Luncheon to be held at the Hilton Inn at Penn on Monday, October 13, 2008 at 12pm. This unique invitation-only fundraiser works by having current Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House supporters each fill a table at the event with friends and colleagues who they believe have the heart to support to the mission of the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House. 

Philadelphia Zoo Returns to PRMH

The Philadelphia Zoo delighted families on September 24 bringing an assortment of live animals through the Zoo on Wheels.

The Philadelphia Zoo returned to PRMH on September 24 bringing an assortment of live animals through the Zoo on Wheels.  The artists of Stacey's Face Painting transformed the children at the House into animals themselves and the Zoo Docents provided a delicious dinner.

Philadelphia 76ers Dedicate Mosaic at PRMH

The Philadelphia 76ers visited the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House on Wednesday, September 10.  General Manager Ed Stephanski, Rookie Marreese Speights, and Director of Radio Broadcasting Tom McGinnis, along with representatives of KIA Motors Corporation, presented a beautiful mosaic to the House. 

The piece, created from art drawn by the children of the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House, was made by Jonathan Mandell, who was also in attendance.

Barnes and Noble Hosts PRMH Bookfair and Storytime

Come out to the Rittenhouse Square location on September 21 for a special storytime with Robert Weinstock, author of Giant Meatball. A portion of the day's proceeds benefit PRMH.

The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House hosted a very special Bookfair and Storytime at Barnes and Noble Rittenhouse Square on Sunday, September 21.  Robert Weinstock, author of Giant Meatball, wowed the crowd with his reading.

Sprout Stars Visit PRMH

Kelly and Chica from The Sunny Side Up Show made a special appearance at PRMH on August 14.

Kelly Vrooman and sidekick Chica the Chicken from Sprout's 24-hour preschool channel made a special visit to the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House on August 14. They did a special book reading with our families and all children received coloring pages designed just for PRMH.

Cardiac Family Room Opens at CHOP

On Wednesday, March 12, the House celebrated the opening of our second Ronald McDonald Family Room at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Comcast-Spectacor Brings the Circus to PRMH

The circus came to town on April 8 bearing gifts, thanks to Comcast-Spectacor, Feld Entertainment, and Ringling Brothers & Barnum & Bailey.  Families were invited to help paint a large tiger statue that will grace our front lawn, with the help of two friendly clowns, Girl Scout Troop 30555, and the non-profit art organization A Million Smocks.  Joseph Wierney, below, takes a break to clown around with his new friends.
