The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House was founded over 32 years ago to provide a home away from home and supportive services to families who are seeking medical treatment for their critically ill children at one of our area hospitals. In that time, we have provided comfort and hope to over 30,000 families. Some have stayed for just one night while others have needed to stay for several months.
With the theme, "Building A House with Hearts and Hands," our Capital Campaign is funding a second Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia, located on the corner of Front Street and Erie Avenue to conveniently serve families from St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, Shriners Hospital for Children - Philadelphia and Temple University Medical Center for Children. so that we can expand our program and continue to serve families in a caring and nurturing environment.
We are proud to announce the opening of our new house on January 7, 2008.
